Welcome to Rahat and to my home Eid al Adha is the holiest Islamic holiday Celebrates the willingness of Abraham tosacrifice his son as an act of obedienceto God. God sent Abraham a lamb and hesacrificed it instead. In commemoration, we sacrifice lambsand share the meat with the needy andpoor. Concern for the needy is one of Islam’smain pillars

We have a big family dinner on the eveof the holiday, we wear our finest clothes We sacrifice a lamb at our home to showour gratitude to God We share the meat with our neighboursand less fortunate families Throughout the days of Eid we visit ourextended family and friends
