Don't worry. The bleeding will stop because of homeostasis.
Uhhh what's that?
Yes! It's bleeding and it won't stop!
Homeostasis is your body's way of regulating itself. The stimulus was the cut on your arm.
It is what tells your body that homeostasis needs to be done.
What is a stimulus?
The stimulus sends messages to the control center, which is your brain, and your brain sends messages to the receptors. The receptors are your arteries. Your arteries will loosen, which relieves pressure and slows blood flow.
Don't worry. It's not the kind of blood clot that can kill you. Whenever you see a scab, that's your blood platelets forming a blood clot.
After pressure and blood flow has decreases, the effectors come into play. The effectors are what happen to stop the bleeding, so, in this case the effectors are your blood platelets because when your bleeding, they form blood clots to stop the bleeding.
