Home of the Brave- April BAM
A comic strip depicting the plot in home of the brave.
I fly on the white boat from home, in Sudan, to the USA. I hope that my mother, wherever she is can look up in the sky and see my white boat.
Where is my mother?
I live now with my aunt and cousin, Ganwar. My mother is not here.
I got a job on a farm with a sad cow named Gol, meaning family, and woman named Lou. I find out they are going away soon.
I run away because I am sad and need to find mom. I stop to see Gol last time, but Lou is there so I hide in a tree, but Ganwar finds me and takes me home.
Auntie tells me that Sudan refugees are coming! My mom could be there!
I found mom! She comes in a big white boat. I say "welcome home" because America is home now.
