DESTROY THE TEA!!
On the night of Thursday, December 16th, 1773 the colonists dress up as Mohawk Indians to go to the ship and destroy the tea. They were tired of high taxes from the British. More than 92,000 pounds of tea was destroyed and dumped. The colonists had gotten face paint from the blacksmiths shop.
They arrive at the ship, the colonists decided that no one should get hurt or the tea should be stolen. It's only to destroy the tea and make a point towards the British that they will not follow the taxes. The tea was originated from China was described as the “Bohea” type.
They work together to destroy the tea because of the high taxes upon things they use everyday. Some of the people were angry because they could not take the tea. There was 3 shipments of tea that arrived at the docks. The colonists had thrown the many thousand pounds off the Dartmouth ship
