in the late 16th century the early Maori inhabited a sacred place called Tamaki Makaurau, the Tamaki tribes terraced the volcanic cones, building settlements around it. At this time not many people stayed at this area.
Later on around 1750 many people from many places stayed at this area. This numbered tens of thousands. it was the pre-Eurean New Zealand's most wealthy area. Which ended up with 2000 hectares of kumara gardens.
Later on the timeline Maori tribes started to migrate further down the island, some tribes can dominate extremely large areas, stretching all the way to the top to bottom.
in 1820 the British arrived releasing all their pests the British would terrorise the Maori into giving them all their food. The British began to industrialise weapons, which ended in invading the Maori tribes.
in 1821 the ngapuhi leader Hong hike launched a series of attacks on the tamale tribes. With 2000 men and 1000 muskets he stormed two gnat paoa village absolutely obliterating their foe.
During this time period Auckland was inhabited by many tribes,ngati papa tai etc before invaded by others outsiders nowadays Auckland is a multicultural to liv in everybody is welcome.
