Storyboard Text

  • Good morning class. Today we are going to talk about matter and it's unique wonders.
  • What's so unique about matter?
  • Well, I'm glad you asked.
  • Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space in an object. The two properties of matter are mass and volume.
  • The units for mass are kilograms, grams, and milligrams. The units for volume are liters and milliliters.
  • Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Volume is the amount of space taken up in an object.
  • The difference between mass and weight is that mass is the amount of matter in an object and weight is the measure of the gravitational force exerted on an object.
  • Oh, I get it know. Wow, matter is unique and fascinating.
  • Mass is a measure of inertia. An object that has a larger mass is harder to get moving than an object that has less mass.
