Good morning class. Today we are going to talk about matter and it's unique wonders.
What's so unique about matter?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space in an object. The two properties of matter are mass and volume.
The units for mass are kilograms, grams, and milligrams. The units for volume are liters and milliliters.
Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Volume is the amount of space taken up in an object.
The difference between mass and weight is that mass is the amount of matter in an object and weight is the measure of the gravitational force exerted on an object.
Oh, I get it know. Wow, matter is unique and fascinating.
Mass is a measure of inertia. An object that has a larger mass is harder to get moving than an object that has less mass.
