Britans first contact with Australia was in 1770 when captain hook landed and claimed australia as british territory and they started colonizing began in 1788. This same bay is now Sydney,New South Wales.
When the british claimed Australia they also kicked out a lot of indigenous people. They were forced to leave. Many indigenous people died at the time because of diseases.
In the nineteenth century modern day Australia was created and along with that a friendship was made. Australia and the British ended up becoming allies in World War I and World War II. Australia also became democratic continent.
