Storyboard Text

  • Once there was a man who was driving in his car at dusk, named Mr. Peters. He heard someone crying, and when he searched and found a swan stuck in a bush. But Mr. Peters was in for a great surprise when he finally freed the swan.
  • Hey there buddy, let me help you.
  • After saving the swan, Mr. Peters watches as it turns into the King of the forest. Mr. Peters requests three wishes as payment for saving the King.
  • Three wishes, he wants, the clever man. Well, I have yet to hear of the human being who made any good use of his three wish they mostly end up worse off than they started. Take your three wishes then don't blame me if you spend the last wish in undoing the work of the other two.
  • Three wishes no more no less.
  • Mr. Peters wished for a wife as beautiful as the forest, and then fell asleep. He woke up to birds singing and walked along the track towards the most beautiful creature he had ever seen, with eyes as blue-green as the canal, hair as dusky as the bushes, and skin as white as the feathers of swans.
  • Are you the wife that I wished for?
  • Yes. My name is Lieta.
  • Mr. Peters and Lieta have a happy life for the next few years, but as they grow old Lieta grows increasingly sad. She misses her swan sister Rhea and the forest she used to live in. Mr. Peters didn't know what to do.
  • Rhea! Rhea! I can't understand what you say! Oh, wait for me, take me with you!
  • She's so sad. What should I do?
  • Mr. Peters uses up his second wish to transform Lieta back into a swan again. He visited Lieta and her sister often, and communicate with one another.
  • I wish Lieta was a swan again.
  • Mr. Peters grows very old, but never uses his third wish. He never stops loving Lieta. One night, Mr. Peters passes away on his bed with a smile on his face and the sad song of two swans can be heard singing mournfully all night.
