Storyboard Description

In this comic strip, you will find out why Jimmy(a baby) is living, and has all five characteristics of a living organism!!

Storyboard Text

  • This is Jimmy. He is a living organism. This is, because he is made of cells(skin cells, brain cells, etc., that evolved from one singular cell!
  • This table does not contain cells.
  • Because he has so many cells now, that also means he has changed and developed, which is another thing that proves heś living! Also, heĺl be able to reproduce just like his parents did with him.
  • This table has not changed nor developed form when it was first made, unless it was by force of a living organism(such as a human), and it cannot reproduce(all tables like this will only be made by a living organism such as a human)
  • Jimmy is also living, because he uses and obtains energy, like food and sunlight. Because he is lacking food and sunlight, he is adapting to the environment by crying so that his parents get him the food he needs, and wearing extra clothing so he won't get cold.
  • This table does not obtain or use energy, it does not need anything to be existent(such as food, sunlight, etc.). It does not adapt to the environment, it can stay in the same place at any time without changing. Therefore, because this table does not contain these five characteristics, it is not living.
