The Earl of Kent is the only courtier that disagrees with Leer's actions and says that his one daughter loves him the most and the others were just flattering him, upon hearing this the King banishes the Earl as well.
The King of France and the Duke of Burgundy await for the King's decision on which one of them would marry Cordelia (The Banished Daughter), but instead the king tells them of how Cordelia was banished and has no more land. The Duke of Burgundy leaves while the King of France decides to marry her anyways
Now that their sister was out of the picture the two other princesses schemed together in secrecy on how to rid their father of his remaining power.
