  • Nuclear Power plants are used to create lots of energy in a short period of time in order to cater to to the needs of citizens. 
  • As of November 2016 more than thirty countries worldwide are operating 444 nuclear reactors for electricity generation. Since then sixty six new nuclear plants have been under construction.
  • In 2014, thirteen countries relied on nuclear energy to supply at least one-quarter of their total electricity.  Today 439 nuclear power reactors produce approximately 16% of the world's electricity.  
  • While Nuclear pollution can't really be seen, it can still impact the economy and environment negatively.
  • Every nuclear plant under construction in the United States is well behind schedule and at least $1 billion over budget. Nuclear Power plants are also very expensive to manage.
  • Earth's ozone layer is slowly being eroded away by the Nuclear Pollution. The Ozone layer protects us from the Sun's harmful UV rays.
