  • Decision Conflict
  • Hello boss, good morning.
  • Ok sir.
  • I should also keep working hard and earn more money to buy a car. First of all, my career will be good, and I can save up for other vacation packages once I get my car. But the negative consequences are that I won't have a chance to go and I might get bored if I don't go.
  • Hello Harry. Why don't we start to get back to work from yesterday? We need to fix the network servers here.
  • Hi Mark, I just got back from work and I was really busy. I'm sorry that I got so many missed calls. Anyways, what did you want to tell me?
  • Oh no. What am I supposed to do? I don't think my boss will let me go on vacation for 5 days. I need to make a decision quickly and I think I shouldn't go on the vacation because I am saving my money to buy a car. If I ask my parents, then they will tell me to spend my own money. If I don't spend my own money, I can save up for my car, work for more time, and I can tell my parents if my friend can spend it. On the other hand, if I do spend my own money, then it can be a huge loss to my savings account and i might be bankrupt.
  • Option 1: Don't spend your own money for airfare
  • Wow Mark. That is cool. I'm actually going to think about it and tell you tomorrow. Bye!
  • So, Harry, I wanted to tell you that I'm letting you come on a vacation with me for five days. We will go to Paris for a week. Would you like to join us next week?
  • Option 2: Don't go for the vacation
  • Maybe I don't think I should go on the vacation with Mark for a week. My boss won't let me take the full week off just to go with Mark. So, if I don't go at all, I can just earn more money and go later and,  I can go once I purchase my car that I have been saving my money for. The negative consequences can be that I won't have fun with them and I can't go on a vacation for a long time.
  • Option 3: Keep working hard and earning more money to buy a car
  • Harry, I hear you talking to your self upstairs over there? Do you need any advice? Come down here
  • Hey Mark, how's it going? I finally made my decision. I'm sorry I can't come to the vacation with you because I'm trying to work hard and I have a lot of work to do. I'm trying to save my money to buy a car. That is my better decision. Sorry to tell you that Mark. We can still be in touch with each other ok?
  • I understand Harry. It's ok that you can't come to Paris with me. We can still be friends and we will be in touch with each other
