  • The march on Versailles
  • The march on Versailles was a march for women armed with pitch forks, pikes and muskets. The march took place on October 5th 1789. It was held because women protested about the high price and scarcity of bread.
  • The first French republic
  • The first french republic was founded on September 22nd 1792 during the French revolution(after the execution of King Louis XVI) and only lasted twelve years.
  • THE REIGN OF TERROR
  • The reign of terror was the period of violence after the French revolution that lasted from September 5th 1793 until July 28th 1794. The main conflict was between the Girondins and the Jacobins. The jacobsins were the more powerful party.
  • The rise of Napoleon
  • The Rise of napoleon was a serious aspect involving the French revolution. Napoleon crowned himself emperor in 1804 and fought many battles to expand his empire. One of his greatest battles was his invasion on Russia (the Patriotic war) in 1812.
  • Napoleon's invasion on Russia
  • The invasion on Russia or the Patriotic war was lead by emperor Napoleon Bonaparte in 1812. It began when Napoleon and his army crossed the Newman river in attempt to defeat the Russian army.
  • The defeat of napoleon
  • The defeat of Napoleon was an unexpected event. Napoleon and his army were succeeding in defeating the Russian army, until they came with a new strategy which was to retreat. This strategy lead them to victory over the French army.
