  • Ida B. Wells is one of the first black owners of the NAACP. She started out by being a teacher, journalist, and women's right's activist. From there she kept going up
  • W.E.B. Du Bois is another one of the NAACP's black founders. He started out by going to Harvard University and after his graduation, he was an author, writer, editor and civil rights activist.
