Narrator: Also, having anxiety has emotional changes where the person might have feelings of apprehension, having trouble concentrating, feeling tense or restlessness.
Narrator: Physical changes also affects anxiety. People going through extreme anxiety or panic attacks might feel dizzy, have headaches, pulsing in the ear, burning skin, chest pain or their body feeling numb.
Narrator: Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health problem affecting Australians. It is estimated that anxiety affects 1 in 5 women, aged 16 – 24 and 1 in 10 males the same age the most. Overall, half the people with anxiety disorders experience their first symptoms at the age of around 11 years old.
