  •  Hello, I am Samantha, your tour guide. Today we are going to take a tour through the digestive system
  • How does the mouth help with digestion?
  •   Your Teeth Chop and grind food.The Saliva from your mouth helps to start breaking down food. As for your tongue, it helps you swallow food.
  • What is the esophagus do??
  •  Your Esophagus is the tube where food is swallowed. This tube pushes food down to your stomach
  • What does the stomach area do???
  •  Well, Your Gallbladder Produces an enzyme to break down protein. Your pancreas produces an enzyme to break down starches. Your liver produces proteins. Your stomach digests everything
  • What do the intsetines do, and what is the appendix??
  •  The small intestine is a tube that is 20-25 ft long. This is where most of the digestion take place. The large intestine is about 5ft long and this part is where the water leaves the system. The appendix is a small nip that has no use.
  •  Well, the rectum stores undigested waste. The anus is the opening where the gastrointestinal tract ends and exits the body.
  • What is the rectum and what does it do. Also, what is the anus??
