Carl Jung believed in the idea of archetypes which are universal symbols that appear across many different cultures. These archetypes exist because there is a common collective unconscious across many cultures such as children being afraid of the dark.
Carl Roger's theory of personality is that personality is dependent on how we perceive the world. Rogers identified a healthy personality as one that is positive and congruent with society. We have a desire to develop our potential to the fullest extent.
