  • The first Roman code of laws was called The Twelve Tables. And the universal law and natural law was based on no reason.
  • Particians were Landowners and became the rulling class. Pleblicans were less wealthy landowners, craftspeople, merchants, and small farmers. Pleblicans were not allowed to join in the government.

  • the chief officers in roman republic were consuls who ran the government and led the roman army, and and the praetors who were in charge of civil law.

  • During the rule of Augustas the Romans experienced a lengthy period of peace and prosperity. The entire civilization was doing great and thriving.

  • Rome provided extended citizenship to everyone they ruled and also Rome was going through an extended period of peace (Pax Romana)
  • Good thing Rome is having a good time and prospering!
  • Christianity offered citizens an eternal life of happiness and it fufiled a human need to belong
  • Christians believed in one god while Romans believed in multiple gods, thus causing tension
  • Everything needs a god so this world can function. you're being irrational
