  • We want land from China
  • U.S. Oil/Steel Embargo
  • We are no longer trading with Japan
  • The attack of pearl harbor
  • Attack the battleships
  • Japan wanted the land China had, so they decided to fight for the land
  • Internment Camps 
  • What did I do???
  • During the war, the U.S. President shut down trade from the U.S. to Japan. This was to try and keep their army as small as possible 
  • FDR's Speech

  • On December 7, 1941, The Japanese attacked the military base of Pearl Harbor. They used planes to drop torpidoes onto the battleships and destroyers
  • Declaration Of War 
  • Today I am declaring war on Japan
  • During WWII, most Japanese Americans were sent to camps spread across America.   
  • A day after The Attack of Pearl Harbor, President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his  Famous speech regarding the attack. It also told of all the other places that were attacked in the days before.
  • On December 8, 1941, the U.S. declared war on Japan. This was in response to the Surprise attack on Pearl Harbor the day before
