  • Hey Girls! Look at the little Artichoke over there! HAHA!

  • Rosemary is a teenager, when she was 11 years old, a mean group of girls called the "Bluebirds" picked on her, one day she wore a green sweater and that's were the nickname "Artichoke" comes from. Rosemary is also a little bit bigger than an average teenage girl, which makes her a little insecure.
  • Climax
  • Dido on that, "I love you."
  • Rosemary develops a crush on a boy named Kyle, and Rosemary thinks he might just be nice to her because she's overweight. Rosemary grows skeptical of her and Kyle's relationship. Also Rosemary still continues to be picked on by the Bluebirds.

  • One day she receives a note from Kyle asking if she would like to go to prom, Rosemary becomes so excited. At prom Kyle and Rosemary have a great time, the Bluebirds are even there, and Rosemary doesn't mind! At the end of Prom Rosemary tells Kyle she loves him, but Kyle doesn't say it back so she get embarrassed, and sad.

  • Wow. Looks like Artichoke is smart.
  • How dare she ignore us!
  • I'm so proud of her.
  • After the Prom, they go out to a drive through during the movie, Kyle clarifies that even if Rosemary was a lot heavier than she is, he would still love her, Kyle and Rosemary kiss, it becomes such a surprise to Rosemary. When Kyle drops Rosemary off at her house Kyle finally says "I love you" back and Rosemary knows he really loves her too.
  • The next day is Rosemary's birthday, she gets a red Volkswagen Beetle, she loves it so much, she tells her Mom, Grandma, and Aunt about Kyle, and how they kissed and how everything was confusing until he finally told her he loved her too, no matter if she was heavier, and they become so proud.
  • The next day Rosemary drives Kyle to school in her new car, Rosemary gets nervous where she notices the Bluebirds are in the parking lot, "Hey Artichoke," they say ",nice car." they say sarcastically, Rosemary finally ignores them and she's glad she finally did.
  • Finally I ignored them! :)
