Jeremiah Assesment

Storyboard Text

  • I lived to tell the message of good hope to the Jews after god sent the Babylonian army to destroy Jerusalem and enslave the Jews. I was to deliver the message that the Jews had been sinful and disobedient to god by praising false gods and not following the 10 commandments.
  • I am also called the weeping prophet because my heart was so tender.
  • I preached and gave people hope when we where in exile, that god had not given up on us and that Jerusalem would be rebuilt and they would be free again.
  • I started preaching from 626 BCE to 560 BCE, my birth is unknown. I was sent to predict and try to warn the kings of Israel that Babylon would come as gods people and punish them for their sins. God was angry at the nations for disobeying the covenant, the kings, priests and prophets had become corrupt and had turned away from god. God hated this so he told me to warn the leaders about this and change their ways, of course they didn't listen to this and the Babylon's destroyed Jerusalem, our temple and brought us into slavery.
  • I was chosen as a prophet at a young age and my messages were very harsh at times. My key messages where that god would renew his covenant after the Jews where taken to Babylon. He would renew them not on tablets like before but in the hearts of his people. I also spread the message that if you show regret you will be forgiven of your sins. I also accused people of believing in false gods and prophets because they were disobedient towards god.
