Jack, a civilized boy who through out the novel has descanted in Savagery.
At the start if the novel Golding represented Jack as and innocent boy with a traditional school uniform with him being Head boy of school.Golding described him as 'Inside the floating cape he was tall,thin, and bony:and his hair was red beneath the black cap.
Golding declare that in chapter two 'Jack seized the conch' at that time in the novel the conch symbolize authority and power something that jack was familiar with being head boy and the leader of the choir.
Golding uses zoomorphism to show Jacks decent into savagery.Golding shows this in the quote 'bent down.showing how a lion is on all four just like you do when your bending down.
Golding shows Jacks descent into savagery by making him not wear the traditional school clothes and for him to start having a speak in his hand.
Golding also show jack wearing a mask and Golding uses the quote 'He looked at himself in astonishment and no longer himself'.This is where Golding makes the reader understand that jack is no longer a civilized boy but a KILLER
