Gwen has always longed for her own pony. She wanted it for as long as she can remember. Her everyday life is about animals, especially horses.
Gwen asked her parents to buy a pony for her. But her parents refused. That didn't stop Gwen from longing and hoping for one, and, now again, begging them to think again. Gwen argued about it with her parents so much that she could repeat it all in her head like a lesson she'd learned by heart.

Fortunately for Gwen, salvation is at hand. Gwen is determined to earn enough to buy her own pony, and she starts going on shopping trips for an elderly lady.
