Odin killed Skadi's father. She went to get revenge on Odin, but Odin offered to get her anything she wished for. She wished for a husband.
Odin let Skadi choose her husband from a group of men, but she could only choose from the look of there feet. The men were covered.Skadi chooses Njord because he had the most beautiful feet. She still fell inlove with him, even though he wasnt Balder.
She had one more quest that they would make her laugh. Loki tied one end of a rope to a goat and the other end to himself, and they played tug of war.
Loki was able to complete Skadis request of making her laugh. She fell in love with Njord, and she married him.
Odin gives Skadi a gift. He took Thaizi's eyes and placed them in the sky as two stars that way her father can look down on her whenever she wished.
Skadi no Njord wished to leave their own region, so they spent nine nights in Skadis frozen mountains and three nights close to Njords warm sea.
