  • Location of the Yorktown Battle

  • People in command of the Battle of Yorktown
  • Charles Cornwallis in command of the British forces
  • This war is getting too costly to peruse!
  • Comte de Rochambeau in command of the French fleets
  • We will still fight!
  • George Washington in command of the American/Colonial forces
  • In the revolutionary war there were several battles. In this case, the Battle of Yorktown consisted of the Americans (fighting for independence) with their French allies, and the British fighting with their German alliances. Now, there were many more people included in this war, so this is just some of them.
  • How the Battle of Yorktown was fought
  • This battle was located in Yorktown , Virginia. Obviously, this is not where the whole revolutionary war took place, but this is one of those places. As you can see in the picture above, the battle was directly near the Chesapeake Bay.
  • Who won the Battle of Yorktown, you ask?
  • We won!!
  • There were many people in command of the Revolutionary War, but the Battles of Yorktown's commanders consisted of George Washington, Charles Cornwallis, and Comte de Rochambeau.
  • Impact of the Battle of Yorktown
  • The Battle of Yorktown was fought using weapons, as well as cannons. This Battle was also fought between the Chesapeake Bay, with the French fleet guarding it.
  • Fire!
  • The Battle of Yorktown was one of the last battles in the Revolutionary War and The Americans held the victory for this battle. This battle was also one of the best the Americans had fought at and planned.
  •  Again, the Battle of Yorktown was one of the final battles included in the Revolutionary War and it had a very big impact. Without the Americans victory in the Battle of Yorktown the United States more than likely would not be able to call themselves an independent nation or the Revolutionary War would have lasted longer than accepted.
  • United States as an independent nation
  • Great Britain shown not ruling the United States
