Storyboard Text

  • Students come to school to learn. However, not all students learn the same way.
  • The use of different educational technologies can help students with special needs reach their full potential in the classroom.
  • All students have the right to a quality education.  Especially kids with disabilities.
  • Savannah uses an AAC device so she can talk to her peers, and so she can participate in class.
  • We set up a daily schedule for Sandy, so that she can see can follow a routine, and so she doesn't get stressed or confused. This helps her to focus in class.
  • Tanner has difficulty with his fine motor skills. Using a laptop for assessments makes it easier for him to complete tasks faster. We also modify tools he uses throughout the day like pencils, scissors, etc.
  • Providing AT for ALL students based on their personal needs will help them to achieve educational goals faster, and more effectively.
  • As you can see, Assistive Technology is important in a Special Education classroom, and any class room for that matter.
