In Gatsby's house there is a library and Owl Eyes says "What realism! Knew when to stop too-didn't cut the pages"(Fitzgerald 46). He was surprised that the books on the shelf are real. they haven't been read though. This shows us that God speak cared so much about his appearance that he put a real books on his library shelves but he has never actually read them so it makes him look like he is sophisticated.
At the end of Gatsby's party a woman was "very, very sad" and she was so sad because she didn't want to face reality she like the appearance of Gatsby's party (Fitzgerald 51). Everyone was like this they did not want to face reality they like the appearance of partying.
Although everyone knew him as rich Gatsby it was really "James Gatz-that was really, or at least legally his name(Fitzgerald 98).. Here's a period so that he was rich Gadsby was fake he was really James Gatz from a farm.
