Teen Domestic Violence have you ever witnessed or known someone who has suffered from domestic violence. If your answer is no, there are roughly 1.5 million high school boys and girls who have admitted to being abused by someone they're romantically involved with.
I am a Victim . Could you tell?? I was not the 33% who has told they were in a domestic violence relationship I wish I would have spoken up or had someone there to help me get out.
So my goal is to end or prevent Teen Domestic Violence. My reasons for this are Teens who suffer dating abuse are subject to long-term consequences like alcoholism, eating disorders, promiscuity, thoughts of suicide and violent behavior.
A lot of studies have shown mostly teen girls report abuse from a girlfriend/boyfriend then teen guys. Did you know domestic violence is most common among women between the ages 18-24 nearly 20.9% of female high school students report being physically or sexually abused by a dating partner.
why is the male percentage so low/ Well men are taught at a young age not to express their emotions so men may feel discouraged to talk about whats going on in their personal lives or they feel like no one will believe them.
Being in a long term domestic violence relationship has a serious impact on you on the way a person thinks and interacts with the world around them. They may suffer from PTSD, Depression or Dissociation.
So , please help someone close to you that you think or know is going through domestic violence that you think or know is going through domestic violence stand up and help for more information please go to Dosomething.org Thank you.
