Storyboard Text

  • "My boat has drifted off, what shall I do now?"
  • I'm very hungry and thirsty. I need to find fresh water.
  • I wish my legs worked like they used to. I wish I was young again.
  • John, the old man, was on a fishing trip in Florida when his boat drifted off and he had no clue where he was. He looked around in search for land. John spotted land with tall, green palm trees and a waterfall. He began to paddle towards the land.
  • What kind of water did I just drink? This is extremely weird.
  • When he got close to land, he stepped out of the moving boat, pulled it onto the sand, and walked towards the coconut trees. He examined the tree and found that there were coconuts hanging from it. He was very thirsty and could really use some coconut water.  There was no way he could climb the tree and grab one, so he gave up.  John slowly walked away as he felt pain in his bad knee.
  • My arms, my legs, my face, my whole body. I'm young again!
  • The elderly man, walking on the burning sand, collapsed onto his knees. His knee, that always gives him problems, gave out. He could not walk but he was not gonna give up. John turned to his left, and in the corner of his eye, spotted a waterfall.  He crawled to the a waterfall he saw in the distance.
  • I will be back fro some more water!
  • Crawling on his knees, John approached the waterfall. He cupped his hands and scooped water to his mouth. The water was cold and tasted slightly different than he was used to. The taste did not bother John because he was dying of thirst. He started to get a weird feeling in his body and little did he know, he was drinking from the fountain of youth.
  • John had that I-am-young-again feeling and started jumping with joy. Walking to his boat, he was smiling ear to ear. His knee that he always struggles with is now young and healthy again. Now, he would have enough strength to paddle back to his land.
  • He climbed into the boat, made of wood planks, and grabbed his paddle. The boat began to sail off the deserted island and the current pulled him away.  He now knew that the water he drank was from  the fountain of Youth. He would soon be coming back to the island to gather water to sell for fortunes.
