Storyboard Text

  • Evaporation
  • Evaporation: a conversion of a liquid or solid to a gas. The water from this pond will evaporate due to the heat of the sun and turn into water vapor.
  • Condensation
  • Condensation: is the changing of a gas or vapor into a liquid by cooling. The water vapor will condensate and turn into liquid water that will end up collected in clouds.
  • Percipitation
  • Percipitation: is when liquid water in the clouds will fall to Earth's surface. After the clouds have filled with so much condensation, the water will fall as rain, snow, or hail.
  • Ground Water Flow
  • Some of the water that fell to the surface will be collected and will turn into ground water that plants and other things might use.
  • Run Off
  • And another portion of the water might run off into oceans, lakes, streams, rivers, etc.
  • The Cycle Restarts
  • And then, the water cycle will restart: evaporation, condensation, percipitation, ground water flow, and run off!
