turn to mrs. Stevonson tomarrow !
Hi. I'm Joe the meteorologist telling you that there's a blizzard coming to Maryland. There is a low air pressure coming this way and a storm coming up the coast. All weather factors indicate that this is going to be the biggest snow storm of the season. The blizzard will hit around tomorrow morning at 1am and will last all day long. The storm will taper off around midnight. We expect to get around 20 inches.
I just talked to Joe and he just informed me there will be a blizzard starting around 1 am and ending around 12pm. Somethings that you might need are flashlight, batteries, food, water, shovels, winter jackets, and gloves Everyone should start to prepare because this could be a "lloonnggg" storm. Road crews are beginning to treat roads.
As you can tell by looking outside, the snow has started earlier than expected. The front sped up as the storm raced up the east coast and is expected to be out of here around 5pm. We are still expecting around 10 inches in the Patapsco Middle School area. The winds are expected to die down around midnight.
As you can see I'm outside city hall and we already have a foot of snow here in Ellicott City. Road crews are continuing to keep the main roads open. Please stay off the roads and call 911 if there is an emergency. 1,100 homes have lost power due to broken trees and heavy, wet snow. Power is not expected to be returned until after the storm.
The storm has ended! We have 23 inches of snow in the Patapsco area. This is a record storm for this date and the last time was in 1989 with 20.5 inches of snow.
As you can tell, this was a large storm. Road crews are continuing to clear the roads and should be done in two days. Please continue to stay off the roads until they at least tomorrow night. BGE will start getting power back up within two days. There was no major damage.
