A stellar nebula forms, which is the basis for the creation of stars.
When a star is formed from a stellar nebula, it can either form a regular star or massive star.
Then, from there, they transform into a Red Giant or a Red Supergiant.
As it ages, it then turns into a planetary nebula or a supernova. Which transformation it takes depends on if it was a regular or a massive star.
Then, it transforms into a neutron star, white dwarf, or a black hole.
The HR diagram shows the ages of the stars, as they change luminosity and temperature as they go through their life cycle.
