Hi, my name is Molly. I am here to teach you about Ancient China. Ancient China had a stable food supply. They ate things like tofu, noodles, and rice. The also drank tea. Eating health was a very big thing in Ancient China. Laws were soon passed that said if you do not have enough money to buy health food the government had to provide it for you.
Mythology in China was very cool. Three Demigods were Fu Xi, Nu Wa, and Shenong. They were very respected and were said to invent many things that helped the Chinese. Dragons were a symbol of power in China. People would also tell story's off a monster named Nian. He had the head of a lion and the body of a bull.
Ancient China had three Philosophies. They were Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism. One teaching of Confucianism was that all people must show "good behavior". One teaching of Daoism was that happiness is fully achieved when one is in harmony with nature. One teaching of Legalism was that people are selfish.
Ancient China had many Dynasties, but today i am only going to talk about two of them. One of the two Dynasties I will talk about is the Qin Dynasty. The Qin Dynasty the lowest social class was Military. Also Girls and women had no rights no matter what. The emperor of the Qin dynasty was Qin Shi Haung. The other Dynasty I want to talk about is the Han Dynasty. This Dynasty had lots of farmers and the government was very respected.
The great Wall of China was built to keep invaders out of China The person who started the construction of the Great Wall was Emperor Qin Shi Haung. It took many years to build and it was a dangerous project. All the people that died while building the wall were buried inside it.
The Silk Road was a very important part in Chinese trade. Some things traded on it were silk, salt, sugar, and many other things. People would use animals like camels to carry their goods they traded back to where they were from. It was very dangerous to travel along the silk road because their were many burglars. Thanks for learning about ancient China with me, Bye!
