I think he would definitely do well in a group setting, because he’d be able to learn from other students and he’d know that they were counting on him.
That also matches what I’ve observed. This next unit has many group opportunities and I’m going to put Steve with some students who will be a good match. I’d really like to see him dive in. Next, we will cover President Teddy Roosevelt, my personal favorite!
Do you know if Steve works best by himself or in groups?
I’ll encourage him to be a good partner and focus to get his work done.
Before you go, I’d like to suggest an assignment tracker for Steve. Each day, I’ll give him a sheet to take home with him that outlines the material we covered and any assignment that he may have. I’d like you to take a look at that each day and initial it. I think this is a good way for us to ensure that Steve knows the daily expectations.
I really appreciate that. Please know that you can contact me at any time with any concerns that you have. I really enjoy having Steve and I have high expectations for him.
I'll talk with Steve tonight and let him know I expect to take a look at his assignment sheet each night after dinner.
Parent Teacher Conference Day!
Great! I'll keep challenging Steve and fostering his appreciation for American History! Have a good day!
