  • One shot, one chance, ONE! The ultimate goal in front of you, but one challenge must be passed. Only one to decide your fate, the champions. Failing at this will ruin your legacy, passing makes you one of the best. That is the situation Gordon Hayward was in, in the 2010 NCAA championship round.
  • Coach Stevens just gave everybody a pep talk, we're down, but we need to play like we are not. The whole crowd could hear Gordon Hayward's heartbeat. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. 12 seconds on the clock. Only Gordon could take or make the shot. The ball passed into Hayward one dribble hop step to the left fade away. For the first trophy of Butler. OH NO! Just short off the rim.
  • Butler has to foul, and they do. Now there are only 3.1 seconds on the clock. Duke shooting 2 free throws. At this moment the whole crowd remembers this situation that Gordon Hayward was in, in high school, hr made it. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.  Duke makes the first. Coach K yelling out from the sideline, "Miss the second on purpose, Butler NO timeouts !"
  • Could Butler pull off the upset down by one. The whole crowd has officially turned as silent as if they were getting kidnapped. Now this is the moment. Coach K is extremely mad it seems as if the Duke players are not listening. Butler Coach Brad Stevens is on the sideline biting his already to the bone fingernails. The crowd has started cheering they think Butler has to take to far of a shot.
  • Duke purposely misses it! Hayward with the rebound, down the court. NO! He needs a screen badly. He gets it. Best player. Best Stage. Worst situation. Gordon Hayward heave for the win. OFF THE BACKBOARD! TO THE RIM! OH NO JUST BARELY OFF THE FRONT OF THE RIM! DUKE IS THE KING OF THE DANCE 2009-2010.
  • Tears boiled into the players eyes, specifically the Cinderellas of college basketball, Butler. This was the best shot ever taken in basketball that missed the bright orange circle. The thing that people say it's not the destination it's the journey, but the world doesn't look at the 29 game run Butler went on. We are just blinded by champions. Nobody cares to look at 2nd place. We shouldn't let greatness blind us.
