  • Good morning class, lets look at our objective for Science. 
  • Ms. Meraz, what is adaptation?
  • We will be able to identify vision as one example of an animals adaptation.
  • Repeat after me.
  • What is vision?
  • Adaptations are something animals have in order to survive in an environment.
  • Vision is one example of an animals adaptation. 
  • Different animals have different kinds of vision
  • For this activity, there will be 3 learning centers.
  • One with a kaleidoscope, one with binoculars, and one with a fish-eye mirror
  • I want you to walk and visit each station. NO running!
  • As your walking around ask yourself, "What animals might have each of these types of vision?"
  • Also, how does the different types of vision help animals?
  • Now that we finished with the activity, I placed a worksheet on your desk, make sure you read and answer the question.
  • 1. trout (fish) 2. owl 3. eagle 4. cricket
  • Kaleidoscope, Binoculars or Fish-eye mirror
  • Identify which kind of vision each animal has.
