This is me at school. Almost empty, quiet and still.
We all look the same because of these veils we now have to wear. We are always afraid of having opinions
This is our teacher. We haven't really learned about anything ever since the war. But today we learned about how at Oxford University in Britain
Students today we are going to take about racism in Britiain. Did you know at Oxford University the non-Caucasian students is about 1.9% of those enrolled
Did you hear about the bombing?
My family is trying to leave the country but we know that if we go somewhere else our life's will be worse than what it is now due to racism and starting over
Yes, it is insane. I am not allowed to leave the house unless it is for school anymore.
This comment the guy made made me think about the discussion in class. No where is safe when it comes to racism and I am now starting to realize why the veils are used. Because if we all look the same none of can harassed because we are different.
Mom: Honey make sure you remember your veil before you leave for school.
Once my mom said this I think of how I look and how if I didn't have to wear all of this if I would be accepted into a school like Oxford based on my looks.
Life everywhere has become darker than if the sun completely burned out
