Storyboard Text

  • Thank you for coming to my interview Hamilton. Now I'm going to ask you a few questions about your life as the Secretary of Treasury and your political party.
  • You are very welcome Dru. I will try to answer all of your questions.
  • Who was the name of the people who followed your political party?
  • The people that followed my political party were called Federalists. they really gave me a lot of support.
  • Why did you want a powerful national government?
  • I wanted to have a powerful national government because I did not want mainly the power to be in the hands of the state or people. I also wanted to relive the past of our country being under control by Britain.
  • Who were the of the members of Washington`s Cabinet besides you?
  • It was me, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Knox, and Edmund Randolph. We all had a different job to do as a Cabinet.
  • What was your job as the Secretary of Treasury?
  • My job as the Secretary of Treasury was to mainly collect tariffs to raise money for the federal government and I had the federal government pay its war debts.
  • Thanks for coming. I have one last question. What did you think about your political party?
  • I think my political party worked out ok.  I gained followers. Some liked I had high tariffs and some did opposed high tariffs so my party worked out ok. I have no complaints.
