  • Jim Halpert works at Dunder Mifflin. Jim is currently experiencing Process Alienation, because he cannot control the fact that the copier never works.
  • My job is to speak to clients about quantity and types of paper. I don't really care about paper.  don't even know why I'm still working here. 
  • Jim is now experiencing Product Alienation. He does not relate to the product, and could care less what product he is selling.
  • Jim's dream job is to become a professional basketball player, because he likes playing basketball.Since Jim has no passion for the paper industry, he's suffering from Self Alienation. He does not feel attached to his job, it is simply a job to obtain money.
  • Although Pam and Jim have a good relationship, Jim and Dwight experience Others Alienation. They do not get along, and instead, Dwight sees it as a competition between who's the better salesman.
  • One day, Robert California pulled Micheal and Jim into the office. He told them that they were just dumb workers and nothing more. Jim and Micheal are now experiencing false consciousness because they believed that what Robert said was true.
  • They believed this until one day, Pam tells Jim and Micheal not to believe Robert. With Pam's help, they lead a revolution by quitting at Dunder Mifflin, and starting Micheal Scott's paper co.!
