The tennis court oath was created by the Third estate on June 20,1789. It was created to make sure the citizens voices were heard. The third estate or the common people were being outvoted by the nobles and the clergy, and this began the French Revolution.

King Louis XVI was tried on High treason and other crimes, out of 721 deputies, 261 voted on King Louis' immediate death while 288 voted against death, as 72 voted for the death penalty. Marie Antoinette's trial lasted 3 years, ending up with her being executed.

The Reign of terror started after the death of Louis XVI, and Marie Antoinette was the first victim. Across France over 30,000 people died.
