Mohandas Gandhi was born 1869 in the city of Porbandar. Raised in a Hindu family and was taught to respect all religons and that all living things are holy.
Gandhi went to London to study law. He was impressed by the Englishmen and the way they followed the law. He wanted to implement these ways in India
He returned to India to establish a law practice, but during his first trial, was too shy to even speak
Gandhi got a business job in South Africa. When he arrived there was a lot of racism around him.
On a train South Africa Gandhi was thrown off because he was an Indian in first-class. He was very angry. Gandhi then went on to fight for the equal right of all Indians and became known as a leader.
