  • Exposition: The narrator is an insane man that "loves" an old man, the narrator insists he is not insane.
  • Conflict: The narrator is bothered by the old man's evil eye.
  • Rising Action: The mad man goes to the old man's room for seven days. He wants to kill the old man but he thinks his blue evil eye will see him.
  • Climax: The mad man kills the old man on the eight night, because he thinks that once he killed him the old man will not be able to see him anymore.
  • Falling Action: The mad man confesses that he killed the old man and even shows the body parts of the dead old man.
  • Resolution: He confessed because he could hear some heartbeats, and thought it were the heartbeats of the old man. He thought everyone could hear them.
