  • Coretta Scott King had graduated as valedictorian at Lincoln High in Marion, Alabama.
  • Coretta met her future husband, Martin Luther King, Jr. at Boston's New England Conservatory of Music while getting degrees in voice and violin
  • She had four children, Yolanda, Martin, Dexter, and Bernice.
  • She worked on the Movement with her husband by speaking in front of many groups.
  • She also participated in the Montgomery Buss Boycott in 1955.
  • After her husband's assassination, she built the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. (Building inaccurate)
