  • Global Warming : Global Warming is the rising of Earth's temperature by a few degrees. 
  • Causes 
  • Greenhouse effect- Warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. Greenhouse gases- Certain gases in the atmosphere that block heat from escaping, such as water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane (mainly from farms).
  • Severity 
  • Effects that scientist had predicted in the past would result from global warming are now occurring: loss of sea ice , accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves.
