The Indus civilization existed from 1900bc to 1700bc. It was located on the Indus river. It was located in modern day Pakistan and northern India.
The homes were made out of bricks that were made by the builders. Most of them had flat roofs.
I wish we had showers and toilets like this but we didn't! We stood on a brick shower tray and poured water over us.
Some homes had toilet holes that were flushed by pouring water down the holes then the waste went through the pipes.
The Great Bath in Mohenjo-Daro was where priests and rulers bathed for religious ceremonies. It was believed that bathing washed your sins away.
We designed our seals so we know what belongs to us. Seals are used like labels when we trade our goods.
Trade was very important to the Indus civilization. Traders came long distances to trade goods with us.
