Sure! come with me to the office.
A surgeon is a trained physician that operates on a patient. To be a surgeon, you must have a Bachelor's degree, a completed MD, and spend 5-6 years in a residency program.
What exactly is a surgeon? And what types of education do you need to be a surgeon?
Some interests you could have are math, biology, and physiology. An important ability you should have is hand eye coordination. Also, you should be able to operate under intense pressure.
What are some interests and abilities I should have?
You will mostly be operating on patients in an operating room and the rest of the time you will be talking to patients in post- and pre-operative visits. An advantage is that this career is very rewarding. but you do have to go though a lot of school and there is a lot of work. The average annual salary is $402,409.
What are the average working conditions? And what are some advantages and disadvantages? What is the salary?
Thank- you so much Doc! Now I know everything there is to know about surgeons.
