  • after mRNA is made, mRNA  leaves the nucleus and heads to a ribosome
  • Transcription is when DNA is unzipped and a mRNA strand is built as a copy of a gene

  • as a result of transcription what is left is a single strand of mRNA and it then goes into the process of translation.
