  • In the beginning, Daedalus is a metal worker for Athene, Daedalus is the best metal worker known, when his nephew, Talus, challenges him, he gets jealous and decided to kill Talus.
  • Symbolism
  • When Daedalus made a maze the most dangerous half bull half man made it through and it puts Daedalus in great danger causing him to provide wings for him and his son, Icarus, and they fly.
  • Motif
  • When Daedalus and Icarus begin their mission to get away from the town Daedalus was teaching Icarus to fly he was too close to the sun and catches on fire and PLUMMETED into the sea which is now known as the Icarian Sea.
  • Theme
  • The wings represent how Daedalus and Icarus keep running away from their problems during the story.The monster represents the problems they have. Lastly the blue lines represent the ocean that Icarus drowns in, which shows running from your problems doesn't solve them.
  • The motif of the story is that problems keep appearing for Daedalus. During this story Daedalus and Icarus continue to run from their problems but none of the problems are being solved. Which shows you can't run from your problems you must face them.
  • The theme of the story is you cant run away from problems to solve them. Daedalus runs away from every problem he creates for himself which in the end he just creates more problems for himself along the way.
