Joseph let his brothers go but would only let them get more grain if they brought the youngest brother, Benjamin, back to him. Reuben told Jacob this news but Jacob did not want to lose another son.
You may kill my two sons if I do not bring Benjamin back to you.
After Joseph saw his youngest brother, he could not help but tell the truth. At first the brothers did not know what to do but eventually they all began to talk to each other once more. Pharaoh heard the news and promised the family the best land of Egypt.
I am Joseph. Come closer to me.
Joseph and his family settled in Goshen. Here, Jacob (Israel) laid on his death bed. He makes his son promise that he will be buried with all of their ancestors, not to bury him in Egypt.
Swear to me
Jacob tells Joseph how Epharaim, a younger brother, will become greater than him. Before Jacob died. he blessed each of his sons and established the 12 Tribes of Israel. Jacob is buried in the cave of Machpelah.
Joseph then forgave all of his brothers for any wrong and they lived in happiness until Joseph died at age 110.
