  • Aqueducts
  • yes it makes life so much easier.
  • hey isn't amazing that we have
  • free food for the people in the city
  • thank you so much for the food.
  • Sure anytime!
  • Entertainment
  • Rome had a very good water supply. A Adequeduct system could carry 200 million gallons of water from a public fountain , fountains in peoples homes for the paricians and water baths in Rome each day.
  • no work getting done in city/bread and Circus
  • the government would give the male citizens food each and every day. This was important to the poor people of Rome. The Wheat was given from the taxes that the farmers and provinces paid.
  • Farmers in provinces were taxed to provide food for the city.
  • Emporers spent large sums of money to entertain unemployed Romans by providing elaborate games and circuses. If Romans had jobs they had almost everyother day off because of all the holidays. On these days Romans could watch Chariot races.
  • Farmers didn't work hard enough to grow a surplus of food.
  • ugh I hate working here!
  • The privelege of having free food and entertainment caused many problems in Rome. Many people took to much interest in those things instead of government and their work.
  • I love not having to work!!
  • OMG I know its awesome!!
  • taxes were part of the reason why Romans farming was not good. Emporers forced Farmers to give most of their surplus grain to the Government in taxes. This was needed to feed the poor.
  • 4 out of 5 people in the Roman Empire were farmers because they were not good at farming so they needed many people to help farm. They also didn't have a good farming system but never tried to fix.
  • sameeeeeee!
  • same!!
  • same here!
